It's on the back wheel. Not much of a "spring". I think it went around 2 times. That's about the extent of the spring. I don't have the bike home yet so I can't look at it. My car blew a head gasket and it's the only vehicle set up to haul the bike trailer. Should be able to pick up the bike Sat morning. I think there might be one on each side of the wheel. The "garage" is a body shop and they usually only work with the sheet metal, but because I had them do the frame (took off the passenger pegs) they took the whole bike. They have had there own bikes in the past but not a Savage. Had to take the rear wheel off to do the fender work. They checked all the lights and supposedly work. I'll check everything out when I get it home. May take a ride to the Suzuki dealership and check out the Savage in the showroom to see what it looks like. I don't have a manual. I'm pressed for time since I leave for Daytona on Wed. Want to make sure the bike is running OK before I go but can't take it for a ride here. Too much ice in my driveway and street. Bike starts and sounds good. Don't want to get to Daytona and not be able to ride the bike. Although there will be a HD mechanic friend there, I don't know if he works on other bikes.
